What a whirlwind of a week it was here at FranksWine the Monday morning after the Kansas City Chiefs – Buffalo Bills game on January 21st!
It all started with Frank, TC and Nicole talking about what pretty much everyone else who saw the game was talking about: the shirtless Jason Kelce holding a can of Labatt Blue Light!
That picture is epic! So much so that Frank took a screenshot of it, cropped it, uploaded it to his Walgreen’s photo app and 35 minutes later we mounted a 24” x 36” poster and propped it up on an easel and posted it across all our social media. Frank, of course, tagged everyone and their brother including the Kelce brothers, their respective teams, Taylor Swift (because why not) and enthusiastically The NFL!

Next thing was a text to our Labatt rep to get a special delivery of a product that we have never carried here at FranksWine: Labatt Blue Light 15-pack cans!
50 cases arrived on Tuesday morning and we displayed it around the Jason Kelce photo! Frank again tagged everyone and their mother (literally so, tagged Donna Kelce) and posted it across all of our social media platforms stating that Labatt Blue Light is the Official “HairyChest BeerBelly Beer of the NFL”
Within 24 hours there was an email from the NFL in Frank’s inbox stating that Frank is using an image which is property of NFL Broadcast:-o
The NFL kindly gave FranksWine 5 days to comply, which of course meant that Frank could continue with his antics and poke the bear for a little longer;-)
Well, then came a phone call on Wednesday morning from Jason Kelce’s sports management company asking to speak with Frank. After a brief conversation and Frank thinking he was being pranked by a friend, the caller asked to FaceTime to prove it was indeed JK…
Well guess what? Yup… there was Jason Kelce laying on a couch giving me a wave and said “Hi Frank!”
So, his representative asked if we could please take down the display because Jason Kelce has no affiliation with Labatt Blue Light. Of course we complied because we love Jason Kelce:-)
Right after the call Frank reached out to his graphic guy at Bellefonte Creative and said “Hey Mike, could you put Jeremiah in that Jason Kelce pose holding a beer can with his shirt off?”
And just like that a shirtless Jeremiah was born the display grew 10-fold! Jason’s team got a kick out of and the NFL was happy to hear that Frank changed up his marketing approach to Labatt Blue Light as the Official HairyChest BeerBelly Beer of FranksWine!
