Here is our new set up during Governor Carney’s Stay-at-Home Advisory… seating limited to six guests, all socially distant, of course👍🏼
We couldn’t decide so we’re buying BOTH barrels of Rye!  On Election Day (the 1st one, not to be confused with Election Day Wednesday or Thursday or Friday or Saturday…) Heather from Sagamore Spirit and Heidi from Dad’s Hat Distilling brought in a half dozen barrel samples of available barrels for Greg, Dan, TC, Fred, Dani, Kathleen and myself to taste through.  Crazy how each of us decided on the exact bottling of Sagamore (a 7 year-old cask strength at 110 proof) AND also the same bottling of Dad’s Hat (a 5 year-old cask strength at 126 proof).  Well, then we tasted them side-by-side for the final decision and we were deadlocked!  They are both so uniquely different in style that we decided to buy both!!  Sagamore has an in-your-face nose of BUBBLEGUM and the Dad’s Hat is a spicier version of Rye with bold LICORICE that explodes in the glass.
So on this chilly December Wednesday evening we will be having the FranksWine Battle of the Ryes where Heidi and Heather are going to duke it out on our Heated Alfresco Tasting Patio!  We want YOU to decide which is tops. It’s gonna kinda be like an Eagle vs Ravens scenario… Dad’s Hat is from Bristol, PA and Sagamore from Baltimore, MD. They’ll be presenting a flight of their Rye Whisky in 3 different formats:  neat, in a Manhattan cocktail, and with hot Cider!  Either way you’re the winner!!  So bundle up, we’ll have our 8 Patio Heaters cranked up on our Socially Distant safe haven here on North Union Street… and of course, we’ll have LIVE LOCAL MUSIC with Sean Sinatra Reilly he’s back and we love this guy as much as you do!
We will adhere to the same “outdoor dining guidelines” as our restaurant friends. We take contactless temperature on every guest, and have complimentary hand-sanitizer, masks and gloves… once seated face coverings may be removed.  This Tasting is FREE and BYOG (Bring Your Own Glass!) or you may purchase one for $5 (which we’ll donate to our local musicians!) and take it home with you.
