John Toler will be kicking off the weekend with 6 wines from Slovenia that the FranksWine Crew fell in love with… these wines are killer!  Last time I tasted through Slovenian wines I was not impressed … that was 10 years ago at least.  Well obviously there’s a whole new wine world there and I’m so psyched to introduce you to the very cool and very hip Gonc Winery!  These guys at Gonc are as into music as they are wine… they even dedicated a wine to Neil Young called Harvest Moon, and one to the late David Bowie called Starman!  And check out their labels below… you’ll see a lot of dots.  What’s up the dots??  “Our passion and love for wine consists of 136 dots. Each dot represents one liter of wine from a special oak barrel holding 136 liters, also called Gönc. The central dot on the label indicates the wine variety and represents the last, 136th point on the label. Number 136 is the motiv of Gönc Winery’s visual identity.”

Alex Rivera from UBI Imports will be pouring a lineup of classic Italian cordials from Lazzaroni!  I mean what are the holidays without Limoncello, Amaretto, Sambuca and Amaro?!! Actually, we just added these just in case there’s a chill in the air on this December Friday… heaters will be blaring and cordials will warm your insides!

No better band to perform today than Sam Smick & Billy Pierce!  This is their 3rd time back playing Tom Petty, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Neil Young and all the music greats.  The pic below is a “back stage” shot from October 24th performance.  And don’t worry… our Outdoor Patio is packed with 8 heaters to keep you toasty!   We will adhere to the same “outdoor dining guidelines” as our restaurant friends. We take contactless temperature on every guest, and have complimentary hand-sanitizer, masks and gloves… once seated face coverings may be removed.   This Tasting is FREE and BYOG (Bring Your Own Glass!) or you may purchase one for $5 (which we’ll donate to our local musicians!) and take it home with you.
